Thank You!

I would just like to say a thank you to my moderator for taking the time to assess my work. I hope that you like the direction that I have taken with my design and hope that you can see all the time and effort that I put into making my initial ideas come to life in the final versions that you will see.

Enjoy!

Front Cover Process

The process of sorting through my images to find the ideal one for my front cover was long, but one that was necissary as it had to be perfect. The front cover is the first thing customers see and is the thing that was first attract your audience in.
I felt that this image was the best one as it is a clear shot of the 'celebrity' who will be covered on the double page spread and is therefore the main feature of this issue. The photo is in the medium shot range as most front cover images are for magazines. It has a clear background and neutral colours, inhancing the range of fonts and colours I can use for other images and text I will be wanting to put onto it at a later stange.

I next made loaded the logo and magazine name that I made earlier and added it to the image. To do this, I went through a step by step process for my deisgn to go from a drawing to the final design.

My front cover draft was done before I did my photoshoot which meant that I had a rough idea already of what I wanted the pictures to look like. Along the way I had to make same changes with colours, fonts and positionings of certain things...

Contents Page Corections

Double Page Spread Corrections

Here is the corrctions I made to my final double page spread. This included triple checking for spelling mistakes, errors in punctuation and positioning and the over all presentation. After looking over things, I noticed that there were things missing such as page numbers which I added in after.

CD Cover

I took one of the photos that I had previously took in a situation I was yet to use and made it into a front cover, attempting to use some of the conventions such as a shot of the artist, additional information and such. Though I liked this, I decided against using it on the final version of my magazine due to the face as there was too much on the page and did not like the overall look of the peice.
